Actually no. The $550 is just the rate. The taxes are in addition to that, which only underscores the insanity.

Also, the City of Santa Clara spent $850 million for Levis Stadium, and that's just for the loans they took out. They're also paying for it through a hotel tax and redevelopment funds. This is complete insanity.
