I live in Hoboken, NJ, which, as a city of 1 square mile, has something like 300 bars. I can think of maybe 30 grocery stores (including bodegas) in that same square mile. Including the bar I live above, there are 8 bars between my apartment and the closest grocery store (bodega). It's pretty wonderful.
