Cool. Let me know what she says.

Ok, I'm impressed that you read this thread 6 years later.

Heh. Thanks. I've got more detail at the blog I created: http://unpaidsophistry.blog… Scroll down a bit and you'll see links on the right to the Introduction and to each season.

"I can call spirits from the vasty deep."

I think there's a misunderstanding here. I was not saying that feminist icons and messages are only for women. I am saying that it's possible to see them that way, but that I personally see Buffy as a *universal* icon. IOW, she's not a model "just" for women, but for everyone.

Yeah, part of the joke was that the girls in the conversation had weird names: Aurra, Blue, and Aphrodesia.

Heh. Giles, you know, didn't get any hug that time.

I've said so much already on this thread that I wasn't going to post this, but as a S7 defender I feel compelled.

I'd describe S3 as having a very strong seasonal arc, particularly the run from Bad Girls through GD2, but it's lacking the really standout episodes. For example, I think S3 is overall better than S4, but Hush and Restless are better than anything in S3, and WAY might be also.

I like S1 a lot, but then I'm like VampWillow: I like all the parts.

Thank you! I've enjoyed your comments as well.

"Whoa! I… I think I'm having a thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a thought. Now I'm having a plan."

Back to the beginning (WTTH):

Exactly.

Yes. See my trivia note #3 below.

I really appreciate the kind words. As for other shows, nobody gets it done for me like Buffy. :) And having committed myself to writing 2 essays a week for the show, I doubt I'd have much free time anyway.

My top 10 has, er, about 20 or so episodes. It looks something like this, though it might change on any given day:
