It'll be great when passive alcohol detection is standard (required) in cars, not far off I hope. It will discourage (and therefore save) many...

1st. GM will replace the switches and compensate victims. What more should happen?

It looks very, um, global.

That is so cool, and exactly what I would love to do with my Volt's stack screen. Its big enough but I'm not sure about touch accuracy/speed. Ideally it would connect automatically over Bluetooth.

not just any BO, "rampant, mutant BO!" inflicted by a valet on a 5 series IIRC.

The Volt has the same transmission-less smooth power NOW feel as a Tesla, it's just not as abundant... In LA traffic it's point and shoot, no contest in most cases - far more than adequate power for most drivers. On the 10W heading home to PS it romps, seriously - it will easily take any normal vehicle on those

I have enjoyed many of your posts MB, thanks. I ask you to reconsider referring to that 90's ad (and product) fail as the "wide-track" campaign for Pontiac. Surely you know that the wide-track campaign is actually Draper era... right?

Public charging aside, if you have a garage it’s no more complicated than this. Doesn’t take long to pop that off the wall and wind it up for road trips. With an EREV I’m not so concerned about charging while roaming. If I can juice I will - if not, I just use gas. I can drive as far as I want when I want,

I avoided factory nav when looking for my Volt. This was based on dissatisfaction with oem systems, satisfaction with TomTom on my phone, and $895. It took me a while to realize that I even had the OnStar nav. After a year of use, I really like it. I can save key destinations in OnStar itself (easy to send voice,

Wow maybe you should reconsider, moosie. I've read this entire thread and you've been justifiably and thoroughly eviscerated by the turtle. Is that enough or do you want more?

Holy gold package, that's ugly trim.

the green, the window, omfg - stunning C2...

Gotta disagree with you here, friend. Stability control is the most significant safety advance since the seat belt. Granted, skilled drivers may benefit from higher limits afforded by a better car but the vast majority will benefit from (and survive because of) electronic intervention. I think it's that simple.

We’re talking apples, oranges, and pears. Among EV and EREV offerings, they are all different vehicles with advantages and disadvantages. The S is an awesome car and I think EM is the man. It is beautiful, roomy, powerful, and unquestionably premium. I’m not concerned about Tesla’s survival. Like the Leaf

remote kit. whomp whomp

I'm thinking metro police departments classify their vehicles and choose from available alternatives that meet specifications. Prius parking enforcement helps pay for twin turbo Explorers.

I think it's pretty hot.

once again, it's not the tool. it's how you use it.

hmmm. this is a test, I posted a correction that isn't showing up. oic. still learning the kinja.

my aunt carol had a 63 monza coupe, black over red with 4 on the floor. I though she was so cool... my primary baby sitter hid peas in my ice cream just to see if I would eat 'em.
