Agreed, it was a confusing concept that was perhaps ahead of its time.

It seems people get too hung up on it's electric range and then compare it to a pure EV. 40 miles of range is more than most people need. People fail to realize that they aren't driving 300 miles all at once. Just plug the Volt in at the end of the day just like your cell phone.
