I never heard about him either, and actually thought the article was mocking someone who had uploaded video of their own suicide attempt days after running around Japan trying to do Borat type videos that the article’s author didn’t find funny. Which made the article seem really cruel.

The tone of the article is that we’re supposed to root for this woman because the victim is a Trump supporter, ie, it might as well have been his fault, and he was asking for it, why did he even have this woman in his home, etc.
