Oof. Not good. Yeah, we’re juuuust north of the county line, so we’re technically outside the evac area, but we’re treating it like we’re at level 1 just in case

Neutral: The air in Portland is orangey-brown, and the nearest wildfire is about 12 miles from my house. The winds are in our favor, and so far no notices, but it’s going to be a tense couple of days...

I voted Nice Price, just to cut the poor little thing some slack, and because if I were independently wealthy, I’d want a collection of little oddballs like this, instead of some dull supercar or luxury liner.

Reminds me of the rear spoiler on the 2nd-generation Camaro and Firebird. Nearly every one of them was off on one side or the other.

As the owner of both a British Leyland-built MG and a Roger Smith-era Chevy truck, let me just say... daaaang.

I’ll never take complete rebuilt CV axles for granted again...

You could get them with the Buick/Rover aluminum V8. They came with not one, not two, but three hood scoops.

I always did like the looks of these, with those “eyebrow” turn signals. There used to be a really nice white one running around Portland with Cragar mags on it, but I haven’t seen it in several years. I hope nothing terrible happened to it.

I don’t see why it needs a number at all; why not just call it the Nissan Z? We know what it means.

I mean, if Marisa Tomei can figure it out from just the skid-marks...

Maybe we should start another GoFundMe page to hire a thief to steal this guy’s Lamborghini, sell it, and donate the proceeds to a charity.

I’m a little disappointed; from the name “Tire Scanner” and the glowing tire in the header graphic, I was sort of hoping you could feed it a photo of your car and it would tell you what the tire size was... now that would be cool. Useless, for someone who knows how to read tires, but cool.

Neutral: I found a great fun-driving road this weekend: Oregon state highway 53 between US 101 and US 26. It’s about 20 miles, all hills and curves through the forest. Lots of good 2nd and 3rd gear curves. And not much traffic, either, at least when we were there. It was even fun in my beat-up old Corolla.

If you alread have a Del Sol and need a parts car, this might be worth it. Otherwise, I can think of many better uses for $650.

This makes me wonder what would happen if I drove my old ex-Forest Service truck into a national park... Would everyone suddenly pick up their litter and extinguish their campfires?

I agree. Yugos sucked in an entertaining way, kinda like the hotter versions of the Renault Alliance. Lame, but so earnest you had to grudgingly admire them.

Former cop cars are only cool if they’re a good 3 or 4 decades out of service, or from a different country.

I just love that it has a trailer hitch. That’s the kind of optimism in the face of overwhelming odds that we need more of these days.

That too.

To the Victor goes the spoilers, it seems...
