A real job? Is sticking a basket of fries in the deep fryer somehow more legitimate than putting the effort into gathering an online fanbase large enough to make an income?

It's not irrational. It's evolutionarily designed. When humans slept on the ground and in trees outdoors, it was safer to have an innate fear of all insects because our pre-human ancestors didn't have the science or the mind to discern between every harmful and non-harmful crawler.

While that Indie movie sucked, I think he was fine with the role and story he was given.

She provides plenty of modern examples and does note that this is mostly done in games marketed towards younger or general audiences (like Mario games).

You are missing my point. NWN2's story has nothing to do with the game being clunkier.

Again, you're missing my point. These games and the studio have their merits, certainly enough to make up for their faults, but they had faults nonetheless. Their track record for releasing polished games is shaky relative to other high profile developers.

Just saying. Neither company is about to "make a lot of money" and a potential Microsoft CEO candidate is even talking about how he'd sell the Xbox if he became CEO. It's a very expensive business to be in, one that Microsoft can only support with software sales and Sony only keeps afloat through TV sales.

Sure, AP and KoToR II were victims of schedules but one could argue that it was as much their problem for being unable to meet deadlines as it was for the publishers to release an unfinished game.

You mean when they're banking on their investment leading to financial success in the foreseeable future?

Obsidian's track record is that they make good games but almost all of their best games are plagued with bugs. Alpha Protocol, KoToR II, Fallout: NV; all of it had more bugs than is usually acceptable for a high profile game release.

Really? I was never that impressed to begin with. He has talent and it's neat what he does, but ultimately it's just a capella instrumentals. There are much more impressive, similar things on the internet.

Yeah, apparently it's supposed to be pronounced "Kalaysee" but language is made by the people who speak it, so whatever.

Huh, she actually makes a decent Daenerys. Where is that from?

He's the first person on national TV to conduct a Comic Con segment without mocking the cosplayers or the establishment.

That part of LOTR history is rather...abstract. Silmarillion always read more like a history book than an actual story.

I don't care about your self-reassuring answers. There's valid criticism for the Xbox One, just like there's valid criticism for the PS4. Stop being a fanboy and accept that fact.

There's plenty of reasonable criticism. The mandatory Kinect is making it cost $100 more, the Xbox One architecture seems to be holding games back and with the Xbox One's huge announced digital features being backpedaled, it's hard to know where the system's focus is right now.

They weren't dumb decisions. Marvel was running out of money and selling movie rights kept them afloat. If they hadn't made that move, they might not be where they are today or even intact.

Buuuuuut they are specifically in the Avengers. We know who's playing them and Joss has specifically talked about the characters.

1) They own the rights to X-Men and all X-Men related material
