Yeah, I guess people just skimmed over your comment and didn't see the part that says you work in the UK.

I played any game I wanted to when I was young and I had no trouble viewing the violence in the video games as just part of the game. I've met the occasional kid in my childhood who was violent and citing GTA as badass but those kids were pretty rough in general; GTA wasn't the cause of their violence, it was just one…
I agree. Battlefield: Vietnam was my most played Battlefield game by far. It was way less clumsy than 1942 and was the first game to have as many facets of the battlefield as modern Battlefield games (helicopters and jets in addition to a plethora of ground vehicles).
Why are the eyes following me?
What's your point? It feels like you're presenting a counter argument but all you're doing is creating a straw man.
Doesn't matter what the specific numbers are, you can bet there's lost revenue and as long as there is a large demographic causing an in-quantifiable revenue loss, it's something bigger publishers and developers will worry about. Everyone wants to have the runaway success of Blizzard or Mojang but not everyone has the…
What feels fake about Hardwick? He's a very earnest guy. I really like him for his Nerdist podcast, even though I don't really find him funny in any other medium.
I don't think RAGE is a bad game. I just think it fell far from its potential.
Exactly what I thought when I read this.
This man has achieved more with DS hardware optimization than 90% of DS paid game developers.
Did you not play Crysis 2? It was pretty self-expanatory.
Really? It's such a weak commercial—one that's clearly designed to draw in the more action-seeking crowd and doesn't really touch upon Crysis' roots. Like Bioshock Infinite's "frat boy" cover (which I had no problem with), it's a tacky marketing asset designed to have the broadest appeal possible.
But it shows the range to which you can apply a shooter. Just because RAGE was an action-oriented FPS doesn't mean it couldn't have been much, much better. If you want to use a single-player action-oriented FPS as an example, there are others that don't fall into the trap of repetition: Half-Life 1/2, the…
There are plenty of shooters that aren't repetitive. Deus Ex: HR for example. Even if you go all-combat mode, it's not repetitive because combat is varied and pacing is handled well.
Make sequel articles. Spreading mod awareness is one of the Ten Commandments after all.
Nintendo hardware is way more gimmicky than it is innovative. Most likely it's the issue that they're preparing sports games for the next gen but Wii U, like the Wii, is in the trap of being stuck with crappier hardware. It's going to hurt the Wii U even more than it hurt the Wii with the exponential improvements in…
Yeah, and my life won't be easy for a while, but when I'm 70 and still doing archaeology, I'll be happy. Plus I meet the most amazing people, including the most amazing women. I've had some good and intense summer flings, I'm sure I'll meet my future wife doing this.
Andy Serkis never watches himself. :)
Of course. I've finally explored my passion (archaeology and physics) and I'm going for it, but I'm significantly behind on doing it.
This article is multitudes of stupid.
