Actually a lot of people do that. Hiking is its own culture and popular hiking spots often have those preset goals.

Well you can't really call 4chan the norm of the internet if it isn't frequented by a majority. Yes, calling it fringe is no longer true but they are far from the norm of the internet. I don't know of any other mainstream social area of the internet where openly judging naked pictures of possibly underage girls,

My parents used to hit me when I didn't study/played too much video games. It was stupid, all it ended up doing was make me want to achieve academic success even less and completely killed my academic ambition, which I regret now. I completely understand how you feel, I have little to no desire to see my family now.

There is nothing about the data that suggests that 4chan represents the majority of the internet.

Not only are there black people saying it's not racist, I don't think it's racist and as an Asian who's lived both in the city (Roger's Park in Chicago, very hispanic/black neighborhood) and currently lives in the American South, I experience real racism all the time. This isn't racist and it's barely even African

Tron Legacy isn't exactly representative of current film mocap tech. LA Noire was great for its time but it's been surpassed a while ago by both film and video games. Take a look at the latest TES Online trailer, it's incorporated very well done mocap (not the absolute best but at least as good as LA Noire).

Sure, a lot of people go to 4chan but by no means is it mainstream. Take a sample a population and you'll find out how few people actually knows what specifically goes on in 4chan.

Although, to be fair, when pitted against actual languages and linguistics, the dragon tongue in Skyrim doesn't make sense for so many reasons. One big one being that 99% of dragons don't actually seem to speak it.

The only thing that bothers me are the nasty kiss sounds. Nothing against the guy but he's just physically repulsive—those sounds just make it a really unappealing ad (the stupid implications of the ad aside).

4chan was never representative of the bulk of the internet. Yes, it's where many memes are born and killed and yes, it's an incredibly motivated internet mob, but it's still a fringe sub-culture. Nor should it ever be mainstream. People are sick and twisted there.

I understand the point you're trying to make but you're not accurate on the hiking thing at all. On any hike more intense than a walk through a vertically level park, hikes usually have very real goals in it. You don't hike a mountain for just funsies.

So interesting to see a dialect eek its way into writing.

I was about to comment on the hubris of the developer as well. Lucky I read this first, I didn't realize it was a quote from a sarcastic writer either.

This doesn't come off as racist to me. Her tone is much, much more dominated by a hyperbolic "crazy preteen" stereotype than African American vernacular. Having actually academically studied African American vernacular, it's very light on Tiny Tina.

So if you're best friend is an asshole, he/she is obligated to give you $300,000?

Because Michael Jackson used to own the rights to many Beatles songs and locked them in a vault, that used to be an issue. However, after his death, Paul McCartney was able to secure many of the rights to the songs again and has been very liberal in allowing the use of the songs. Notice how Beatles songs appeared in

The exposure's happening because Jonathan Coulton MADE the exposure happen. He criticized FOX, got his version on iTunes and got his fans motivated. Fox did nothing.

The Glee version is copied word-for-word, beat-for-beat. There's even a lyric that he changed to refer to HIMSELF specifically and Fox didn't change a word.

You clearly don't play games with girlfriends a lot. My ex loved playing things like this together—we'd either switch off or she'd sit and watch story portions with me.

Glad you can admit it.
