The design of some icons is a really silly thing to be up in arms about. I'm more concerned with how things run. You can change an icon very easily. Redesigning a program is a bit harder. I don't think most people care about what the icons look like.

I'd love to get rid of mine and replace it with a Roku, but it looks like airplay is a no go on the Roku. I usually stream a podcast from my phone to the ATV while I'm making dinner. So close.
