Conservatism will end with two guys in a bunker pointing guns at each other saying the other one isn’t “pure” enough.

somebody made a joke on twitter about nolan being so attached to the theatre experience because it plays a big role in you not realizing how dumb a christopher nolan movie is until much later.
Alternately, just watch Innerspace instead and be entertained instead of, you know, enervated.
James Brown on the T.A.M.I. Show.
I heard the Circus version of "A Quick One" long before I ever heard the studio version and would play it on repeat when the special was released on CD. When I finally heard the studio version, I felt somewhat let down.
Yeah, it's genuinely terrible - it's just this very rinky-dink song with piano cranked up in the mix.
"The Name of This Band is Talking Heads"; it's got stuff ranging from their 4-piece post-punk days to what's essentially the Stop Making Sense extended lineup PLUS Adrian F'ing Belew.
It's a shame the the Talking heads Rome 1980 show isn't an official release. Remain In Light is pretty much the best record ever, but that Rome show doubles down on what makes it so good.
I thought of Cheap Trick as soon as I saw the title of the article.
I hate to be that guy again but the lack in diverse backgrounds once again rears it's ugly head here at the AV cause every person of color would read this threads topic and immediately scream: Earth, Wind and Fire's Reasons.https://youtu.be/xBUkWH7T8d0
Been waiting over half my life now for so many of those great SST albums to get the deluxe-remaster-and-reissue treatment, but even if Greg Ginn finally does let them out of his greedy clutches I wonder to what extent some of those albums that Spot "produced" can even be remastered, as they were so poorly recorded to…
The ideal version of "A Quick One While He's Away" is from Rock & Roll Circus, in my opinion. It's one of the greatest rock performances of all time.
If you'd set out with a goal of being as wrong as possible, you couldn't have been more wrong than you are about Life During Wartime.
The whole point of the song is paranoia and want. The spare, tense original gets that across.
The live version is a party.
Look, I'm on fully on board with what Talking Heads became, but…
Fuckin' Spot, man. That guy is basically a war criminal. He ruined every great album made in the '80s.
Case in point: I vastly prefer the abridged version of Tommy on the deluxe edition to the record.
The Who, live at the Isle of Wight is rock 'n' roll personified.
The entire live album The Living End by Hüsker Dü. The versions on that album are so much more powerful and louder than their studio counterparts (especially the New Day Rising tracks) that in probably every case I prefer those versions.
The Who's "A Quick One While He's Away" from Live at Leeds and Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus
"So come on down, to Tex and Edna Boil'sPrairie Warehouse and Curio Emporium and see Chucky, the dancing chicken…"
"Starting your left, ending with letter P, 28-letter word giving me victory…prelanskovoshnikpropop!"
