Mr. White Returns

Actually the GOP has used demonizing both groups before for political gain. GW Bush pretty much won reelection over the GOP manufactured hysteria over gay marriage. And they’ve been trying to gut public education for decades. It just shows how intellectually and morally bankrupt they are that they have to go back to

The Dunning Kruger Effect in a nutshell.

100%, but also South Dakota, Montana, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas are all on the express lane to outlaw facts, science, empathy and compassion.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I’m sure the family has close ties to the local judge. Texas being Texas and all.

My nephew lived in San Francisco for over 2 years. He definitely had a love/hate relationship with the city. He finally gave up on it, though and moved back to Chicago. He said one of the last straws was the homeless guy that would crap in the middle of the sidewalk in front of his apartment the same time every

Yeah, ‘cause that’s what all cyclists do, just ride around kicking off mirrors. Troll.

It’s sickening. People can bitch all they want about cyclists blowing stop signs and the like, but there’s no excuse to intentionally trying to cause harm to them. It’s as if their little pea brains can’t comprehend that the more bikes on the road means less traffic and congestion for cars, along with less pollution.

Another Minneapolis resident here. As much as I applaud the city trying to make it more bike friendly, they need to plan things out better. I live on the SW side, and they allegedly “improved” Bryant Street by us last summer. Sure, there’s a big, beautiful bike lane that’s separated from the street, but it’s made a

I agree. I didn’t make it all the way through the last Dr. Strange, I found myself simply not caring. I was really engaged by the first third of Wakanda Forever, and then walked away during the climax. Again, I simply didn’t care. It’s all just CGI bombast and I’m tired of everything having to tie in with each other.

Probably like the recent few MCU movies, I’ll wait until it’s streaming for free, try to watch it, and punch out around 2/3 in.

This is television and not movies, but the first time I ever felt “stirrings” down there was seeing Julie Newmar as Catwoman in the old Batman series.

It’s pretty telling that Hammond and May will sometimes make cameos on each other’s shows; but outside of Grand Tour you never see them with Clarkson.

Yeah, you really owned the libs.

I’ve come to the earth-shattering conclusion this whole streaming thing isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.

I really need to hook up the DVD player again. I’ve had plenty of situations where I try to track down an older movie and can’t find it on any streaming service. Or if you do finally track something down, it’s of course some obscure service I have to sign up for.

Cameron’s problem is that he can’t get out of his own way. I can say that about a lot of big-name directors. True Lies could easily have a good half hour cut from it at least, same for The Abyss. What should be taught action movies become bloated messes.

Oh man... I haven’t thought about Spalding Gray in a long time. It’s amazing how riveting a single person on stage giving a monologue can be. Such an engaging person and also so tragic. I’m going to have to track this stuff down.

The Limey all the way. “Tell him I’m fucking coming!” Absolutely perfect and lean.

Most of these ads depended on nothing else but empty nostalgia, no actual humor or any appeal outside of throwing around old catch phrases. I’d say the appeal of watching Super Bowl ads because you might see something different or innovative peaked in the late 80s. Get off my lawn.

Plochman’s mustard and Duke’s mayo.
