ODOT and PDOT are a huge part of the problem. That stupid tweet is most of what they do, tell people to stay off of the roads. Which isn’t an option for people like you trying to get back home.

FYI - road salt is not used in Oregon because of stream water quality. The only exception is the top of Siskiyou Pass, which drains into California, which salts anyways.

I agree. If I want to get rid of a car after a few months I’ve made a wrong choice. Would rather ride stuff until the wheels fall off, and take care of them so they don’t.
