Too bad you made a typo. By internet law all your enemies are right about you now.
I never really got into Mega Man, I’m not sure why... And every time I’ve tried to get into it later I just haven’t seen the appeal. What am I missing?
“hoped that Nintendo’s impressive slate of classic games might help fill in the blanks”
Right. Nobody is confused about that, no matter how much your aggressive sarcastic tone would like to imply otherwise.
Okay Jason, you literally are the worst.
This is not the point. The point is that given the weak launch lineup and Nintendo’s legendary back library that has been available on multiple previous consoles, it would make sense for them to utilize that to bolster launch. It would have been pretty easy! But they did not, which—to some of us—speaks to how the life…
It’s like they’re still on the Wii hangover and haven’t learned a single lesson since then.
To answer your first question: Yes, I have a Switch preordered.
WOW. This is the complete opposite of the last-minute announcement I wanted to hear. What a terrible move! How did someone on the board approve of this decision?
This makes zero sense. The Switch’s development software is Android based right? Google Play has 15 gazillion emulators... How freaking hard is it to develop an emulator for your own damn software?
Was anyone really expecting Nintendo to do what everyone thinks they should do because it’s the obvious thing? We think what Nintendont.
Here’s their foot. Here’s a gun. Guess where the bullet is? Guess where all the bullets are? Guess where all the bullets always are?
There’s a big difference between an opinion on a console and games that already exist and speculation on the potential size of a software library for a hypothetical system that hasn’t even been released yet. And your speculation and expectations aren’t really based on the evidence, which says that if NX really is a…
all of those nice third-party games you mentioned are available on PC, and at a much better level for that matter.
I’m sorry but no, that IS hyperbole. I remember how PS2 games looked and while it is true the GC and Xbox were above (and one could argue the Xbox was a console half a gen foward actually) they weren’t even near the gap the PS3 and 360 had with the Wii.
The PS2 had graphics that were, for the most part, only slightly better than the Dreamcast. There was a large gap between it and the Gamecube and X-Box. Whatever you want to call that, saying it was ‘a generation behind’ isn’t particularly hyperbole.
Wii got a lot of *shitty* games because it sold so well. Not only that but it lacked practically ALL non-sports AAA multiplats. Sure, it got a gimped CoD, if that’s your thing, but no Fallout, Skyrim, GTA, Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc, etc, etc.
The Wii’s 3rd party titles are hot garbage. Tons of shitty shovelware only created because the Wii was a big hit with non-gamers.
Shane Roberts, I feel let down you didn't choose the Kirby brand, because it is emperically better than every vacuum on this list. Do you consider it a "non-standard" model due to it's direct sales model? It seems like for all these Kinja co-op articles you only choose products available on Amazon. Is there financial…
