If you're still working in D&D 3.5, 4, Pathfinder or any d20 based system (And in the case of Roll20 perhaps other systems too.) I'd very, very highly recommend two very powerful and easy to use tools.
Fuck, book 10 was the worst, I stuck the dams series out and finished it, after Jordan died and they brought in Sanderson to wrap up the story, it got WAAAYYYYY better. I hate to say it, but Jordan's death was the best thing that happened to the series.
I've seen people complain for years about the Perrin rescuing Faile storyline. They always bitch that the story takes too long that it goes on and on forever.
