Funny how you mentioned Bethesda after saying you'd "pony up" to good and well-priced DLC. Are we forgetting horse armor? :)

"already played and hates" Funny guy over here!

...or maybe it's referring to the new expansion, Seekers of Adoulin, coming out this month? -_-

I'm not in love with this interface, but I don't hate it either. However, compared to the competition like Xbox Live? Xbox Live has the worst interface I've ever seen imo. Such a chore to find anything.

Sweet, 4 days before my birthday :D

Riiiiiidge Racer!

So many memories listening to that! I was stuck for days on some of the puzzles in the first Tomb Raider. The ambiance the game created with its very minimalistic sound design went a long way towards setting that certain tone that made you feel like you really were lost in some deep tomb in the middle of nowhere.

They remade an entire game from the ground up in less than 2 years. I don't think that's a long time at all. It's been in development that whole time, while they also kept updating the original version as well. Beta starts today and will last around 3-4 months.

Except you know, both systems have sold just about an equal amount as of today.

No clue what they've changed? They replaced the entire graphics engine, it's a whole new engine running the game. 1.0 graphics engine ran like shit.

Actually, Yoshida stated the PS3 version is currently 75% optimized, and that they are working to fix the chugginess.

judging from alpha, it will run mighty fine..

Who's talking about WoW? I was referring to XIV.

Who knows... it's possible, but maybe it's to put those naysayers to rest that keep saying the PS3 version doesn't exist for some reason.

Then you shouldn't try and give an opinion on something that you haven't actually tried for yourself or tried long enough to actually see all the features.

Not a smart move, but as I mentioned to another poster, they acknowledge the choppiness and say it's being worked on. PS3 version is not optimized yet.

Yoshida said it's currently 75% optimized and acknowledged the choppiness and that it's being worked on. However, I probably still wouldn't have shown it in a public video like this if I were him, haha

Except you'd suck if you stood still, as the game uses a combo system that depends on your positioning.

In one of the interviews Yoshida just did, he acknowledges the choppiness and says it's about 75% optimized and they will get it running better.

Very sad news, though not surprised 1up is being shut down. I noticed they hardly update with new content anymore, and you can even tell site visits to that site are down considerably from past years. The comments section on almost every article on that site is pretty barren most of the time.
