Correction: was. 2.0 is essentially a completely different client, graphics engine, and game. What it will be come December/January does not reflect what it was at launch. Read up on it a bit before you comment.

It sucks that you don't like the character designs, it seems like the majority of the players of the game actually like them. They are also adding male mi'quotes (the cat-like race) to the game. I suggest waiting till 2.0 and then trying this.

11 and 14 are absolutely FF titles, don't know what you're talking about. XI had multiple great stories to it, and the game definitely felt like a Final Fantasy world.
