I would watch that sitcom: a woman and her former mother-in-law maintaining an odd couple-esque friendship after the divorce.

Right? She makes me so happy. As does the arrival of my Christmas cards for this year!

And Reba is her mother-in-law! In a perfect world, I would love for them to do a Christmas album together.

But I can keep the pork rinds next to the Barcalounger, right?

I would do a lot of walking for a beer. So much walking.

Same—especially since I’m trying to both lose weight AND save money, anything that gets me to break my habit of taking Ubers everywhere and just plan a little better to be on time is a thing I’d be willing to give a go.

I’m sorry. That sounds really rough. Are there ways you can get some space from your family, since they aren’t giving you what you need? Even if there isn’t right now, finding some time to surround yourself with the people who do love and appreciate you might help you build up the self-compassion to keep going.

I would watch the shit out of that show. Especially when (plot twist!) we find out that the husband actually murdered the wife during the season one finale, and this whole show is actually her quest for ghost-vengeance!

I think it’s a McGuffin.

You and me both, friend.

I think I need that mug.

Tench delights me. Next season, I want him to take up Carr’s suggestion of therapy—those sessions would be amazing to watch.

It’s a skills institute for my grad program—one credit, over the course of a weekend. On the bright side, my presentation skills have improved, and our instructor (a CIA analyst) tells a lot of great stories that end with “And then Dick Cheney screamed in my face” (generally a sign you’re going something right). That’s amazing! I finally dug out a Baby Surprise Jacket I started several boyfriends ago for a friend’s baby (who is now entirely too grown to wear it), but once I find the pattern/untangle the skein I can at least have it ready for SOMEBODY’s baby.

Bug Out bags are so important. I hope you and your family are safe.

I want to buy a wreath for my front door to welcome in the season—that and a welcome mat, to make it clear that I am an adult who has a Properly Adulty Home.

I haven’t tried This Works!, but I live near a Whole Foods, so I could pick up some essential oils after class today.

Cozy sweaters for life! And buying clothes that fit your life circumstances are so much more comforting. Congratulations on the kiddo!

HECK YES! Always here for Halloween candy.

Ooh, an excellent idea—I think I’ll start adding that in after dinner.
