As an artwork, that costume is fantastic! It’ll be interesting to see if it gets messy panel after panel (if you know what I mean). Would love to see some iteration on the big screen.

I like that their friendship gave us GDT as Pappy McPoyle

First movie: perfect campy fun. Straight up top shelf anime level fun.

Meanwhile, the rest of us in normal income society, with mental health issues, brain trauma, and or complicated grieving issues are expected to act like adults, and face consequences for our actions.

It feels weird to say, but I do kinda like it when the multinational global corporate entities can be cool with each other from time to time, trading favors for low-impact stuff like this.

Oh, hey, this is the movie that premiered at Sundance last year as Eight for Silver. I went into it hoping it would sort of be The Witch for werewolves, but it’s just polished but silly costume horror. Hard to say how much I would’ve enjoyed it if I hadn’t set my expectations way too high, but it’s definitely nothing

True fans who want the gritty R-rated original can get a free printout of the penis panel from Batman: Damned #1 they can hold in front of the movie screen at key moments.

Yea. The movie is three hours long which certainly makes it feel like he had a fair degree of control as to the final cut. The suits would probably rather it be 90 minutes.

Amen, and wise for him to get ahead of “Reeves cut” goofballs. Not every superhero movie has a secret version of itself that’s gorier and appeals to your weird lust for ultraviolence, or is even the “director’s true vision, out of the gaze of the Studios”. Sometimes, the director’s vision... MAKES IT ONSCREEN. I know,

Yes to Reeves keeping it under r. You can be serious and gritty without the Tarantino level gore.

I’m having a difficult time wrapping my head around Keaton’s Batman interacting with the Commissioner Gordon from Affleck’s Batman.

So weird to see the Keaton Batman in new pictures... and it looks pretty nice!

Ironically, the ONLY time I liked Danny Rand when he was on Luke Cage, as the writers of that show seemed to have figured out the right vibe for the character. And he pronounced Tibetan words correctly! And made a joke about weed!

Fully agree. Season 2 of Iron Fist was much better, and when Finn Jones dropped in on Season 2 of Luke Cage the vibe was loose and fun.

Finn Jones notwithstanding

MCU (tv division included) has the absolutely best casting in history.

The scene was actually really good, quite organic in a Marvel way (I mean, Murdock does show up in other comics frequently in his capacity as a lawyer). Also - just reminded me that the MCU (tv division included) has the absolutely best casting in history.

One theme in this series is unrequited love.

Being told you’re just like Misty IS a compliment, Leila. Misty is the best...that is a hill I’m willing to die on. ;-)
