There was a moment where I thought Harrison was going to do a “this is too messed up, i’m not like Dad” turn as Dexter was carving up what was left of Kurt, but sadly, the writers didn’t take that chance.

Well looks like I was wrong about Olsen unless they plan a last minute twist to set up a new season. Honestly it seems like they forgot about him entirely. Definitely feels like something got cut from the plan for the season - winder if it was a causality of covid or some other issue.

I would love it if the list included at least one LITRPG, yeah they are super geeky, yeah some of them are immature harem novels but there are some really good ones out there. ex. 10 Realms Series, Guild Master Series, Noobtown Series. Most are pretty light reads but they at least to me are fun reads. Atleast, they

New Gawker makes Spanfeller’s G/O look like a masterpiece. I didn’t know that was possible until I saw it.

That’s taken as a given these days. His name will not be on or in this volume, it’ll be credited to “The Original Writer”.

I’m just waiting for Alan Moore to disavow this somehow...

When we started writing, [Strange] knows firsthand the dangers of screwing with these things. Then we changed it so he was a person who doesn’t know that much about the multiverse.

that was the weakest part of NWH. Strange seeming like some dummy at the start. oh sure peter, let’s just fool with everyone’s minds, no problem!

My friends really liked it but it took me a few tries to get through (I only even bothered due to the prodding within my circle). As others have stated, I don’t really know who the film was for. Either you see it as a clear allegory to the times we’re living in and the existential threats we face but refuse to address,

Why does it seem like the mega rich and powerful, those who could actually have an impact on how we deal with climate change, all act like they have a spaceship waiting to take them to some other paradise planet where they won’t be bothered by all us “lessers”? I have yet to understand that mindset. Either they really

That actually makes sense. I felt the multiverse stuff was pretty weak in Spider-Man, it didn't make sense that Strange would botch a seemingly easy spell so badly that it would break the universe.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

I am both horrified and morbidly interested in a Rob Zombie reboot of The Munsters. I wonder how much necrophilia/incest/etc. there will be. Will Eddie go on rape-rampages during a full moon? Does Grandpa’s basement lair have a secret passage leading to a peep hole in Lily’s shower? Marilyn will be a serial killer

You cited Gawker and I was confused. I didn’t know someone rebuilt it. And holy shit... If New Deadspin is the friend you keep chained in the basement after he got bit by a zombie, New Gawker is someone you tried to clone using a DNA sample you found on an old crack pipe and grew to adulthood using bovine growth

I think if the movie was made 5 (6? time has no meaning now) years ago, it would have been considered a somewhat good comedy. Now? Every behavior in the movie is far too close our reality now to not be predictable.

Yeah, nobody is talking about this movie in my circles, online or off. Seemed to be poorly received by most reputable critics. Kind of an obvious yawner whose point will be missed or ignored by reality-deniers and annoy those of us that are already well aware that we are fucked. This movie, if it wasn’t sitting right

the movie feels like Idiocracy for our current generation, but with a fair chance to be in mainstream conversations.

I see what ewe did there.

Good point but it is worth noting that valerian can interfere with prescription medication because of its medicinally-active alkaloids.

I gather hops have that effect, too (even outside of being in beer!). I had a bath product that contained valerian and hops and a hot bath with that bath oil guaranteed an awesome night’s sleep.
