I felt like I learned a lot about the genocide of Mayan people by the Guatemalan government just through the brilliant slow-burn horror movie La Llorona (B-).... I highly recommend it!

I promise to play that kiss scene on repeat.

OMG I watched this episode and have been on the hunt for a Battenberg ever since! None of the bakeries near me make one and I haven’t been successful finding any places that ship to California........

That could be a key difference — I adored the book!  Not that this is a 1:1 adaption, but I thought it captured the spirit well and I liked the updates they made for modern times.

The final scene of Night of the Living Dead carries extra weight in 2020 — could be really interesting if the remake explores issues of brutality against POC while the police or civilian militias “clean up” the “zombies”.
