I’m excited for the show, but that background music in the trailer made it sound like 2004.

So I actually liked the book when I read it, but then when I listened to Wil Wheaton I did a 180 — I started disliking the book. I also couldn’t stand listening to him and it kind of turned me off to Ready Player One altogether.

More stars.

Now I want this to be a TV show -- about a man who buys a ghost town and then starts making some ghost friends and they go on adventures together.  Some ghosts are friendly, some are terrifying.

I would absolutely recommend The Confessions of Dorian Gray — about Dorian’s paranormal adventures throughout space and time (including a visit from Doctor Who). I adore listening to Alexander Vlahos’ voice and each episode is mostly a one-off, so you can start anywhere.

So sorry to hear that!!!  Apologies for raising your hopes.....!

I’ve been supporting my local bookstores by buying from Bookshop (and then picking my locals store, in this case, Alley Cat Books).
Then they drop off the books you buy at your house!! Game changer — especially because I’d rather support local businesses than Amazon......

Thank you!  Crave is not on my JustWatch app and this is good to know.

Episode 1 is still so golden -- food library!  Even the song at the end, “Sewn back together wrong” is brilliant.

P.s. Since I am an active participant in io9 and AV Club and I am not a troll, can someone pretty please un-grey me?

Now playing

No love for my favorite parody of “Come on Eileen” -> “COVID 19"??
Don’t stockpile the loo roll!!

Gotta say... I adore my Plex account. They host all types of media and are always adding more services (they just added a streaming movie library).
I highly recommend this service to folks who want MEDIA ANYWHERE.

Shout out to one of my favorite shows that didn’t last long enough:

And by Jack Nicholson in the 1960 version!

My favorite role of his is Bill Maplewood in Happiness — so dark but so funny. He does a brilliant job and I will watch anything with him in it.

Look --  I would watch Mr. Mercedes, it’s just that it’s impossible to find on one of the 8 streaming services I subscribe to........

Good to know -- I normally only watch Legends and Batwoman, but looks like I should check out Supergirl too (if I want to be less confused.....)

I am surprised he didn’t mention the way his mother was similarly treated by the press — some have blamed the press directly for her death. Agreed -- glad he stood up to the tabloids.

The action sequences remind me a lot of Upgrade, which was an amazing little movie

THIS.
