Grass was my first guess, but one of the later shots shows grass fire expanding underneath quite a few minutes into the fire.  If it had stared in the grass, the area underneath would probably have been long since burned out.

I have a 9/11 road trip too. My wife and I were scheduled to FLY from San Francisco to Boston that evening, on American Airlines no less. Obviously, that didn’t happen, and because Boston stayed closed, our flight kept getting canceled and rescheduled further and further in the future.

I have a 9/11 one too. Was supposed to move from CT to VA on the 11th. Packed the car on the 10th, shit hit the fan the next morning, no one knew what to do. Gave it to the 12th to see how things might shake out, and to try to get in touch with friends/relatives in the city, a few of whom worked in the towers. You
