As Genevieve, you and have so many others have said and will say more eloquently than me - Elementary has so much potential! i miss the earlier seasons, which focussed more on complex characters and relationships - less on complex, convoluted mysteries - and seemed a bit more playful and fun.

Exactly! Now i am reconsidering my fantasy episode - a mystery about the ageless Joan Watson, where Sherlock discovers Irene's painting of Joan aging in the attic. i would trade that episode for 'The Picture of the Sheriff of Mount Pleasant.'
