That's true. I've been wondering about their parents for awhile now. Especially when there has been no reference (at least in my memory) to any letters written or phone calls.

To be honest, even if Ford had suggested Mabel staying as well I don't think it would be great for everyone involved. Like, it would be good for Dipper in the sense that the Mystery Twins wouldn't be split up and he'd get the socialization he 'needs'.

Yeah. I liked that line because it certainly was very true. Pearl was pushing for forgiveness more out of a need to alleviate her guilt rather than to actually earn the trust back. This episode was a little bittersweet, but it had that edge of hope to it that disappointed me a little. I understand that forgiveness is

Same. Everything outside of the Peridot stuff was good for me. Separately, I like Peridot. I like her stupid little quips and the character amuses me. But, in this episode it felt way too silly. Like I'm not saying Peridot should be really easy to catch, but it's starting to get a little ridiculous.

I think my biggest problem with the arc was knowing that in the end everything would be okay. I agreed completely with Sapphire in "Keystone Motel". Why bother being upset now when you know it's going to turn out okay in the future? Obviously, I can easily say that because I'm not in the situation, but because of this

I enjoyed this episode overall. It was not as good as the past two, but this was still good. It was interesting to see a bit more expansion on Onion's character. He's still a creepy, shady demon like child, but now I can at least see where some of that is coming from.

Very true. Steven being forced to hang out with Onion for the sake of his 'mom' is basically how every arranged playdate I had as a child went. The kid is usually a bit weird and you would never hang out with them if your parent didn't make you, but you typically end up having just a little fun despite yourself.

I loved this just because of how cute Ruby and Sapphire are. That whole interaction at the end had me squealing in glee. I'm glad we have a little more detail on them. So Ruby basically is Garnet's huge rage and Sapphire is why Garnet typically is so chill. Not really revolutionary, though, because that was pretty

I actually can see Pearl leaving because she thinks she's not wanted. Of all the gems, Pearl is the one the most disconnected. She tolerates humans and her interest in Earth seems limited to a respect for what Rose fought for rather than genuine fondness. Her and Amethyst have always been on the outs. Now she's had a

Adding to this I think the fact that she her screw-ups can be selfish makes her more unlikeable to some as well. People are more inclined to be irritated by a character who makes a poor decision based solely on what they want. Especially when, like you said, she goes against more likeable characters.

I'm really curious to see exactly what Garnet has done in the past to warrant such utter terror. I mean, I understand Pearl being a little scared because she did screw up and Garnet obviously would be ticked. But, there was this underlying fear of Garnet doing something that colored the entire interaction. Like

I really enjoyed this episode. Sworn to the Sword still is just a bit better to me, but this was definitely better than Rising Tides. I like that we got more info on fusion because I have been really interested in exactly how that all works.

What I found really interesting about this episode is that it revealed a bit more about Rose's character. From what we've seen she is not as perfect as any of the Gems (with the exception of Garnet because she seems to understand the situation a lot better than Amethyst or Pearl did) believed and it has made me unable
