Certainly. And I don't want to sound like I'm some sort of Pollyanna. Trump and his associates frighten me so much. I'm just not giving up hope. Good luck!

Why does a nation have to "solve" it's massive issues of race and class to be considered "recovered"? Recovery is return to the norm. America didn't ever not have massive issues of race and class. Oof. Not if it means having to accept Idaho too. You might have to join up with New Mexico and form like "Mountalia" or something.
I'd say yes we definitely did. We got massive immigration full of people who didn't care for one. And I think you're ignoring how hated and destructive Andrew Johnson was.
I'm starting to like the idea of the west coast seceding to form Pacifica more and more.
Yeah… That's why I asked the following: "How is 'lower class men got butchered in battle' inconsistent with 'non-lower class men moronically don't recognize the oppression of the women in their midst because they aren't being oppressed themselves?'"
I mean maybe? We recovered from an actual Civil War in which we killed hundreds of thousands of each other, so I have SOME hope.
I mean even Paul the practical said that the love of money was the root of evil…
Prosperity generally fixes that though. The richer people get, the fewer kids they have.
Are Billy Crystal movies really bywords for starry-eyed sentimentality? I mean more than the usual? Like wouldn't "Julia Roberts movies" work equally well?
No idea. But don't a lot of websites have that deal with Amazon, where they get money if you buy something using their link to Amazon? I see it all over. It seems like a common source of income for entertainment-related websites.
They have that ad for every book they review.
Yeah I got that you're stating that. To actually "argue" it, you'd have to provide some sort of support though. Say examples of the hypocrisy. I notice that you still haven't done that. You've just said, "You're all hypocrites!" in various ways.
What hypocrisy? You haven't provided any sort of thesis or even examples of hypocrisy. How is "lower class men got butchered in battle" inconsistent with "non-lower class men moronically don't recognize the oppression of the women in their midst because they aren't being oppressed themselves."? Are you arguing that…
I don't see "die" as correct because I don't get any impression from Rose of wanting non-being. She wants transformation and transcendence. She wants to not be Rose but not to "not be."
But I think one of the points of the show is that Rose didn't just "want a child." She wanted to transform/trascend herself and give the world a legacy in the process.
I grew up around lots of conservative people and I understand that their positions and opinions are more nuanced than many believe. That said, I think it's a bit disingenuous to deny that although,a significant proportion don't want something so extreme as Sharia Law, they do have views that are in the same "family."…
Yes. If any man anywhere is being oppressed, this means that talking about oppression of women by men is sexist.
Ah - I somehow hallucinated a negative in your sentences so I missed your sarcasm. My apologies.
