Well it's it's not okay when you're 36. For obvious reasons. But 33 is considered an honorary multiple of 9 so that's okay.

Well it does now that we're killing everything. But Earth flora and fauna are pretty diverse so far as I can tell. I mean how many species of insects alone are there?
I mean the unexamined life certainly. I think it proves how entrenched is the idea that the world is made up of white men and everyone else is a random aberration that no one who matters needs to think about.
Apparently they like having power and influence enough to restrain their impulses and put aside their "ideals" to some degree. On the one hand, it suggests they can be reasoned with in some way (or at least bribed/forced), but, on the other, it means they will stay where they are with the chance to do tons of evil…
Difference between rhetoric and reality I guess. Also, I suspect some members of the Freedom Caucus would kill Medicare if they could.
There will be no waves. Gerrymandering has made it impossible. Dems only shot is the presidency and senate. Unless Obama and Holder actually manage to fight gerrymandering like they planned.
For what it's worth, it's possible they will be brushing up the CGI later.
I mean I've lived all over the country (7 states and counting!) and heard a lot of accents but the standardized American one seems pretty common to me.
The device is in his hand in the physical world. Which means that it is also "in his hand" in the mental one. The worlds cross at points.
I liked how the mental and physical world connected. Cary's device was in his hand so he could move it around. Rudy's blood dribble became the drool…
The standard one used in television by a character whose regional origin is unimportant?
He's been working with mutants for years, maybe he's heard of him? Why wouldn't he know?
That's brilliant - and I love it. I love how everyone's powers on this show are sort of inconvenient but awesome.
I know! I spent the whole play wishing he'd just slaughtered everyone in the first scene. So much more efficient writing.
The show isn't set in any specific era or time (aside from maybe "post-WWII"). Which matches the comic book feel pretty well
It's not like Xmen use time-period accurate technology even when they ostensibly have a specific date in mind.
Well everyone descends eventually. Nothing lasts forever and the default for humans is brutality. I just don't think it will happen in our lifetime.
I am 95% certain that we're not going to descend into a fascist dystopia either (there's about 5% of me that worries I'm being naive), but it disturbs me enough that Trump and his hangers-on would ban rival political parties, murder the poor, and make us a fascist dystopia if they could.
It seems to be a term used for "murkily defined thing I don't like." I've seen it used by non-antisemite racists who don't like immigration.
Correct in what sense?
I definitely think there is a disturbing element to the story (you can't really get around the fact that she's his hostage), but I also think it, like a lot of fairytales, is trying to get at something real through all the magic and crazy plot.
