Since the beginning of humanity, rich people spend their time finding ways to steal from poor people and then act sanctimonious about it.

So, compared to what we've been offered so far, he's a saint?

That idea hasn't been especially common in the evangelical world for a while. You're actually FAR more likely nowadays to hear about how Christian wives have a duty to be amazing in bed. And "amazing" here means perfectly attuned to whatever their husbands happen to like.

Yes. Unions are notoriously in favor of bear-filled schools.

I think, "I hate war," is sufficient honestly.

Interstate commerce clause!

Semi-legal. Still illegal under federal law, I think.

Well we don't know she doesn't. How many "Homeworld" Jaspers have we met? I think all we've seen is Skinny Jasper, who we know is atypical. Also, my theory would assume that "closer to a diamond" is the standard for perfect.

Sure, but, again, that is surely not the only standard you plan on using to judge presidents? And a body count isn't going to be enough to judge subjective qualities (e.g. Courage).

That is interesting - all them are more round whereas Villain Jasper is pointy. Maybe it's supposed to emphasize her (by Homeworld's standards) "perfection"?

Is it? I think he'd be the kind of person who would loath Tony Stark but is too much of a lawyer to want to oppose international treaties.

Seems silly though - there are plenty of desirable qualities for a President to have that can't be scientifically measured (e.g. courage, integrity, sangfroid). If we are going by things that are only measurable "scientifically," then we should probably judge our presidents based on their heights and weights.

Apparently it was going be about Jason's father. So they found a way!

Do they? Hand painted movie posters from the 30s? What about people who collect old posters for cruises or travel to distant lands? Commercial art is still art.

Yeah, it's the one I always forget is coming out. But it seems charming enough.

I guess it's an end goal, but I don't think it's fair to call it "the end goal." People can make art for many reasons. People buy movie posters to hang in their houses as art, did the commercial element render the posters valueless?

Spider-Man

Considering where she ended up (Batman's friend's daughter and romantically linked to his foster-son), I don't know if the "original canon" really matters.

Hmmmm… I suppose it's possible. And I do think it's intriguing that WD has never come up even as an aside, "You should listen to White, Blue." I guess it just doesn't really appeal to me as a twist. Maybe it's because I like the current structure where Rose did something she saw as necessary yet also somehow wrong

I don't think Pink Diamond is Rose's mother - she's Rose's liege. Gems are grown from the ground so they don't have parents. That explains why the Gems were so confused by Steven and what he was (a human baby) early on.
