I have an 8-bit Mario tattoo on my left lower-arm. It’s funny to think that such a Japanese icon will actually prevent me from entering some iconic Japanese hot springs.
Interesting seeing how influential and imitated the Japanese tattoo style is. I’d say Japanese art in general is very influential when it comes to tattoos. Something they should be proud of.

Yeah. They solved it! Then again, the Paper Mario folks solved it a long time ago, too. They let you forgo battles like that by stomping on the enemies in the overworld and crushing them like you were playing Super Mario Bros. (Was that also in Super Mario RPG? I can’t remember)
Yeah, I wish more games had adopted Earthbound’s system of instant victory, or weak enemies running away in fear.
