Maybe its because I am in a bad mood today. Maybe its because I am now a middle aged male. I am not at company number 9 in my career. I spent well over two decades in the tech industry and now work at an older established financial firm. If I could retire today I would. None of the companies I worked for really care

GM has to make EV people want.  Part of the problem with EVs is they are too big, too expensive and too complicated.  If they can figure out how to make money selling the EV equivilant of a Honda Civic or Toyota Carola, they will be all set.  I’m not counting on it.

FIRST GEAR: Ah yes, loyalty pledges. This is something that’s coming into vogue across industries. If people are deemed not sufficiently excited or enthusiastic, they’re viewed as low performers or disloyal and removed from the business. I’ve heard of this happening in tech companies already.

Harley Davidson employs around 6,500 people. By contrast, Duke University employs nearly 65,000. And that’s just at the main campus(es) in Durham. Duke Energy has another 27,000. And Duke isn’t even a particularly huge university.

As a fellow lib, there’s nothing that makes me feel more “owned” than a complete stranger destroying his own property in a fit of pique over some bunch of strangers trying to make sure some other bunch of strangers are being treated fairly.

Peak all hat and no cattle.

Then you must also support banning diesel semis, which catch fire much more often.

There are tens of thousands of one-off vehicles that have been made, including ones with custom one-off chassis and engines. A vehicle of which there are a full 17 is far from “one of the rarest vehicles ever made.” Doubly so when it is just a trim package for a vehicle of which thousands were made, triply so when the

Are electric vehicles more likely to catch on fire in event of a crash

Reason 7342820 I’ll never buy a Tesla to finance Elmo.

Clarence Thomas, I’m sure, can find a way to allow it. For a small consideration, I’m sure.

A two person rage-Tweeting Voltron made of colossal idiots. Guys, I’m starting to think we aren’t going to make it.
