I really hope so! Her acting skills are 100% the most important part, but it would alleviate my concern a little if some of the more easily changeable elements were right.

I was so pleased with the pacing of this episode. I’m still not really wild about the story structure (I think it took away a lot of the drama on the 18th c. side of things, minus the stones), but they’ve struggled with pacing so much this season that I will push aside story structure in favor of pacing.

Can’t recommend the transport tote enough - I’ve had one for 4 years and with super minimal upkeep (I bring it to the shoe repair shop in town to be water proofed once a year) it still looks absolutely beautiful.

Definitely a surprise. To my memory of the book, the show was pretty spot on in showing that this was the first she had heard of her, let alone seen her (its been a while since ive read DiA, so someone correct me if I’m wrong!)

I haven’t come across any written evidence of this either (I haven’t exactly looked though) but if you look at portraits of women from the 17th and 18th century, its really 50/50 for if they’re depicted with body hair. William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s Birth of Venus is the first one coming to mind, and its pretty clear

In order: 1. Thats just sort of how the nobility of that era did things. It seems completely ridiculous, but it is historically accurate (the constant audience, I’m really not sure about the pooping)
