Much genius.
I wish I could remember the exact line from The West Wing but it was something along the lines of, ~I don’t WANT my neighbor to be President. I want the smartest guy in the world to be president, I don’t care if I want to have a beer with him or not.~
This is what’s wrong with America right here. This. Not Bristol Palin herself, but what she represents — the fact that so many stunningly, proudly pig-ignorant, determinedly undereducated, information-resistant people think they know enough about anything to tell others how they should think and behave.
All I want in this life is a snack department with 5 people.
Derelicte, one could say.
Meanwhile, Canadian Donald Trump is always saying “later, hosers”.

The GOP is all about religious groups providing social services instead of the government. It also espouses the myth that country’s founders were Christian and therefore the country is Christian and should uphold the GOP/right wing version of that doctrine.
Every Catholic I knew growing up was a Republican. The current church leadership is very conservative, especially when it comes to women’s issues. Denying that is silly. As is denying that this sort of shit is very much in keeping with Republican dogma.
Actually there is. At least at the hierarchy level. The current USCCB is seriously conservative and that is trickling down to the masses. The catholic vote used to be pro-social justice and heavily titled toward union/blue collar issues. This is no longer the case.
Scalia.
