Good to know! I pretty much never wear open-toed shoes anyway, so I’m just more concerned about the pain and the possibility of infection or whatever. Glad yours got better! Ouch!

I know TJ Miller as Shershow from Happy Endings and nothing else, but... part of my job is hiring student tutors, and a guy interviewed with a voice and speaking pattern exactly like Miller’s, and it really, really threw me off.

I did the next best thing at 30 and took out 1/3 of it myself with ice water, a big rubber band, half a bottle of Jager and a brand new uber sharp exacto.

I did a round of antibiotics and a topical antifungal with a gp, but when that didn’t work (did give me a yeast infection, though!) they trundled me off to the podiatrist. He looked at my foot for a whole minute before deciding to take the toe. I hope yours gets better without having to do what I did!

Sorry, friend. My podiatrist was incredibly quick to just take the toenail off, and while it hurt a fuckton, I’d been dealing with pain in my toe for six months beforehand.

It’s been a couple weeks, and about a week ago it started to feel a lot better. It was pretty constant pain for those first two weeks, and I pretty much had to have it elevated the whole time.

I read “Ashley Benson” as “Amber Benson” and was excited that she rated a DirtBag. Now I’m just sad.

It’s pretty much regular skin now. I think it was raw flesh in the picture. It sounds weird to say it, but I’m honestly not sure. It hurt too much to touch it.

This was just a day or two afterwards. It basically just looks like weird pruny skin now. I’ve been told it could take a year for the nail to grow back.

I got my big toenail removed a few weeks ago to nip a toe fungus that had gotten out of control. If anyone would like to see a picture, I can promise it’s less gross than that toe pic up there.

I know there’s so much vitriol and racism and cruelty and corruption and it just goes on and on, but the hatred of “regulations” is probably the top reason I hate Republicans, especially when those regulations are about either protecting labor or the environment. Or animals.
