Sorry about that :-(
Sorry about that :-(
I got a bunch of designer work shirts at Nordstrom Rack when I got my grown-up job. Relatively cheap, but certainly not as cheap as a nice thrift shop.
The URL thing is particularly annoying. They say in the actual book, “here are all the issues with including the URL, but there are some good reasons too, so let’s include it, but if your professor says don’t, then don’t.” Like, not the world’s most compelling argument.
I wish I knew Chicago style better. I’m in an academic position where I should know all the styles equally (university Writing Center coordinator), but I’m especially hopeless at Chicago.
Why, thank you! Just trying for a little order :-)
I put this off for way too long, so I’m spending tonight wrestling with the new MLA guidelines. I like the basic ideas, but it’s not nearly as “free and easy” as they want us to believe.
I kinda thought it was mid-afternoon, and was a little shocked to see the Social up. But I’m happy to get here early!
I see what you did there.
Tim Tams are pretty good.
Chalk!
I had to look that up; now that I know he’s basically putting sarcastic air-quotes around “right”, I’d like to punch him in the balls.
There was a part of his dissent where he mentioned that in Casey, undue burden meant an obstacle as well as no legitimate interest. And then, he starts listing his reasons for being against the opinion, and I swear he wrote that it wasn’t right for the Court to consider both the obstacle and the lack of legitimate…
Thanks much! I am a big Firefly fan as well, and maybe this will help me get through the last season of Angel :-)
I’m finally starting to listen to podcasts, set off by the West Wing Weekly (which any fan of the show should be listening to). Can anyone recommend a good Buffy re-watch podcast? There’s one by TheTVCritic.org on itunes but the reviews for it suck.
From CNN.com. I am most pleased.
I have no advice for you on having the chance to see it early and not taking it. But, I will admit that loving the recording as much as I do has sort of helped me get over the fact that I won’t be able to see it. I know that I’ll never see it with this original cast, so I just enjoy the recording for what it is. And…
I’m certain that there are lots and lots of moments in the live musical that improve upon the soundtrack. My point was just that the cast recording is certainly more complete as a listening experience than most cast recordings. I never figured out what the hell happened at the end of Wicked from just listening to the…
For a lot of shows, just listening to the soundtrack would not be that appealing because there’s scenes and plot that happen between the songs that the listener doesn’t hear. But because this show doesn’t have any scenes/plot that’s not part of the soundtrack, you can listen to the show and understand essentially…
Wow. Honestly, I didn’t even notice that they weren’t actually holding muskets. I think that’s really wonderful. Everyone who’s complaining can just leave.
