Search Party was great. It actually pulled sort of the same trick on me as Fleabag. In the first ep of Fleabag I thought I was getting a completely different show then I ended up getting. In Search Party, I thought I knew the prototype that each of the friends fit in, and then was proven delightfully wrong.

MrStu enjoyed Fleabag but I find her too uncomfortable to watch. But I don’t like uncomfortable TV.

Presumably because the DA thinks that there’s a better chance of getting a conviction for the lesser offense. I’m not a lawyer and I absolutely should not be taken for anything resembling an expert on this, but reading the manslaughter laws in Minnesota, a manslaughter 1 charge looks significantly less open-and-shut

It turns out that the term is used interchangeably - had to look it up myself. Murder = manslaughter, depending on jurisdiction.

I don’t doubt it. I just need something to cling onto in this storm.

While I agree on “why not 1st degree”, please let me at least have some victory here. It’s been a rough week month 2016 fucking sucks, ok?

It’s Gigi Hadid so...no, not really smart, anyway.

My (totally unresearched and probably wildly wrong) theory is that this story presents an accurate depiction of marriage among the wealthier classes during the time period portrayed. The daughter has to marry whomever her father chooses, at the time of his choosing, and most of them would never even have met their

This is far more superb than you’ll get praise for.

“This one tells us that kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome and bestiality are all just fine, as long as the girl finds love in the end.”

Thank you. ONE sane comment in a sea of “yeah trans rights!” nonsense. Men who “feel” like women are, as usual, entitled jackasses.

There are some very very valid reasons for not wanting men in women’s bathrooms because they “feel” like women. Men commit most of the violence against women for one. So strange how the Jezebel robot community is 100 percent for anything that erases women’s identities, autonomy, and space. Someday we will look back on

Indeed!

Don’t forget the fat arms, though. That really cut deep, right?

Don’t forget fat shaming. If you have fat arms, ladies, you aren’t allowed to have an opinion!

Wtf? An entire language is at your disposal and the most descriptive you can get trying to disparage someone is calling them an introvert and claiming they don’t “understand how the world works socially” — what a complete waste of human potential.
