This isn’t true at all.

They are waterproof to an extent.

I don’t know what Apple is doing on these OLED screens, but they are clearly not as scratch resistant as the LCDs.

I always paid for a seat for my kid. You know what? Sometimes he still screamed and bothered people.

Don’t forget Kepler! We are on the verge of literally looking at individual planets in solar systems light years away.

We did make progress though. We built a massive Space Station and have had humans continually in space for close to 20 years now. THat is a huge accomplishment.

Then book a private flight. You take mass transport, you have to deal with others. You sound like an entitled asshole here.

If the parent appears to be trying, leave them the hell alone. Rest assured that flying with kids sucks far more for the parents than it does for you.

I assume it could, theoretically. I haven’t looked for anything definitive, but Falcon 9 Block 5 has significantly more lifting capacity versus Soyuz, especially in expendable mode.

Exactly. If the Canadarm breaks, we don’t have a shuttle to lift another one currently. Having a system where the spacecraft itself handles all the docking maneuvers is actually providing a safeguard against that possibility.

As others have pointed out, in-space maneuvering thrusters and the main rocket motor are not the same thing and are built with entirely different propulsion mechanisms. The cold gas thrusters used for this are very precise and positioned around the capsule in such a way as to allow it to move forward/back, roll, and

Docking should be pretty easy. Dragon has already been autonomously intercepting the ISS for many years. Crew Dragon will likely be using much of the same code for those procedures (although there is a difference here, in that Crew Dragon will actually dock instead of berth like Dragon currently does).

I actually like this one a lot, but I agree that the 458 will be the one that collectors will continue to covet in 50 years.

Sounds amazing. Also sounds like something that will need a VIP tour pass to manage the lines that I expect.

Yep. I went with the iPad Pro in December for note taking. It was a bit of an adjustment at first, but I’ve since added a screen protector from PaperLike (which adds some resistance to make it feel more like writing on paper and cuts down on reflections and fingerprints) and it is pretty close to perfect now.

I’m not arguing that he wasn’t dumb, but let’s be clear here: (1) the range said up to 500k; (2) we’ve got a long way to go in 2019, so we don’t know if he’s wrong yet; and (3) are we really concerned that Musk is going to pump and dump and give up control over Tesla?

Hot take: both sides are in the wrong here.

I’m guessing there will be a grand total of 12 apps whose developers actually support this and even fewer who do anything interesting with it.

I had this issue once. Even stopped by the Apple store to try to get help. The associate there actually pulled a paperclip out of his pocket and, 10 seconds later, sent me on my way with a working phone.

It doesn’t say he dropped $1,500 on her tires. It says he dropped $1,500.
