When Mayor Dewey first showed up early in the series, he was just one of those background characters. I didn't hate him, but I didn't especially like him either, which is my usual reaction to politician characters. They're always slimy and worthless after all.

I'd just like to point out that I totally called the spirit-vine-atomic-superweapon-thing last week, and I'm sure that as a new commenter this kind of gloating will totally endear me to the community.
