What I liked about this week's episode:
- Morgan making the prison and his reasoning behind it
- The Groundhog Day-esque cold open and epilogue
- "To us? They didn't do anything"
- Darryl not knowing how to drive properly
- "If you don't spit game you are game"
- Eugene trying to level up
- Rosita starting to come

Shout out to Dalton for being a much better actor than any of us would've ever imagined in Season 1

Roman getting booed so relentlessly is largely a protest to the powers that be in hopes that eventually they'll be forced to stop ignoring the crowd. They've essentially destroyed any chances of Roman Reigns becoming a successful top babyface anytime soon thanks to their inconsistent writing and tone deaf booking so

Oh I'm fully aware that Roman getting shit on by the crowd has more to do with upper management than it does Roman himself which is the most frustrating thing about it all. I've said this before, it's truly bizarre how they're trying to position this guy as the figure head of the company yet they're doing him NO

Idk about "natural crappiness" but it looked to me like Trips' head slipped out of Roman's hands at first and he kind of rushed through the spot after that

In comparison to the way that he went the fuck off at TLC, I agree it was definitely weak. The TV spot was kind of cool and having him come off unable to differentiate between friend or foe was a nice touch but overall it wasn't nearly as good as it could've been

I'm a well documented Roman fan and I just can't do this anymore. They're relentless with the shoving of the "Roman Empire" down everyone's respective throats (probably worse than anyone I've seen in recent memory) and the crowd is so committed to booing him at this point that there's literally nothing that they can

I'll give you that but I feel like that happens less (at least now) than the detractors have said that it does

Well that's where we disagree. Morgan was definitely a danger to himself and others. They even made a point to turn him into a feral dog of sorts in "Here's Not Here".

I'm not saying that he was the only one lol. Did you see the last message though? I said I replaced bloodthirsty with dangerous

It wasn't just walkers though, he killed people too. It's one of the big reasons that he's clinging to the "All Life is Precious" mantra. Let's meet each other half way though and I'll do away with bloodthirsty and replace it with dangerous.

He did have a breakdown but he was also pretty bloodthirsty. Dude was obsessed with clearing. I'm not saying that he was mindlessly bloodthirsty but bloodthirsty nonetheless.

What pisses me off about a lot of TWD's detractors (and even some of the fans) is that they seem to always look at everything on a surface level and seldom ever really pay attention to a lot of the stuff that's happening in the subtext and visual imagery.

I hear what you're saying. It's interesting because you can tell that he's clearly still a fan and is aware of the rise in quality over the last year or so (you seldom ever see him grade the show below a B these days) but I think reviewing the show on a weekly basis has taken some of the fun out of it for him.

Yup this episode was very much so about Carol confronting a possible future for herself and deciding whether or not she was okay with that. I also think that this might've been the most "Girl Power" episode of TWD ever lol.

Indeed. Also Rick embracing that he's a damn philistine and Michonne being his buffer lol

Agreed Agreed Agreed! They're like 2 people recovering addicts on different ends of the spectrum. Both have very strong and valid dueling ideologies while also ignoring very important aspects in their own lives (Killing is part of survival now and Vulnerability isn't always weakness, respectively).

The show definitely has some issues with overwrought pontificating or speechifying but when the dialogue lands it REALLY lands (and I personally think that it lands more often than it doesn't these days). Also the show's dialogue has inherently gotten funnier which helps things.

While it's still dumb that she was out there in the first place, Maggie carrying a child inside of her ramped up her intensity level by 1000 because she has an extra reason to survive now.

Hah I appreciate the love but I wouldn't be too harsh on Zack. I think that he largely does a good job with his reviews he's just burnt out from all of the nihilism which I can understand and respect to a degree. This show is never gonna be sunshine and lollipops but there are times where the show has doubled down on
