I love alot about tonight's episode but my favorite parts were actually two very subtle moments. One being Frank starting to walk upright the exact moment that he died (one of the most clever visual cues that I've ever seen) and the second being the subtle reveal of Ani bearing Ray's "night of white trash passion"

Rude

Don't let the hardcore bible thumpers see this lest they condemn them to the Hellfire Club!

I will agree that he isn't quite main event player level just yet (he should've beat Rusev for the US Title if you ask me) but I respectfully disagree about him not being a good singles competitor currently. He might not be able to carry a match all on his own yet but he's more than pulled his weight in all of his big

I personally think Roman is much better in the ring than he'll probably ever be given credit for, ESPECIALLY in the last 3 or so months since they stopped throwing him in the ring with Show and Kane ad nauseum (He's been in the Top 3 MOTN at every PPV since Fastlane). He's one of the most athletic & graceful big men

I'd even argue that Joe's problematic nature has mostly been a result of his feverish obsession with innovation and success. It's like Gordon said, he's a good man but he just tends to make it really hard for people to see that. Dude burned so many bridges (literally and figuratively) in the name of dream chasing that

I really liked that exchange as well. It was effectively simplistic which is something that Pizzolato doesn't do often.

I legit feel for Joe because he tried so hard to be good this season and literally everything bit him in the ass for his efforts (his last exchange with Gordon killed me because I knew immediately that "New Joe" was leaving us). His whole monologue about self preservation and not trusting anyone being the best line of

Oh I'm not so much saying that he's a villain, just that that shot felt kind of like the rise of a "Kingpin" (pun fully intended).

My groan mostly came from the fact that I saw that line coming from a mile a way and it felt like such a HARD NOIR line. I still have my issues with Pizzolatto's dialogue choices but your perspective does make me view the line a bit differently.

Hmm I can respect that perspective

I get what they were going for but just the delivery and the context just felt so…cliche to me.

Can we all agree that the Mayor of Vinci is the greatest character in the show's history?

That got THE biggest groan out of me. It' up there with that horrendous "Anaconda mixed with a shark" malarkey.

Yeah dude was loyal to a fault. You could tell the moment he had that confessional with Ray in the car that he imprinted on him.

This was definitely by and far Frank's best episode. Wonky dialogue aside I thought Vince killed it here and his supervillain shot at the end was killer. I also found Ray & Ani's (who have always been the two characters I was most invested in) moment surprisingly sweet considering this season has reveled in smut,

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Universal Soldier Paul is so much better than "You can't catch me gay thoughts" Paul

Jordan's ridiculous devolution into Quasimodo killed me

ALL HAIL THE FAIRY OVERLORD!!!

Not as uncomfortable as Ani was
