This must be because of Essexshire’s Centre Right-Back Nigel Smyth-Yardley’s controversial and deeply unpatriotic decision to kneel when they play God Save the Queen. Or not kneel. Whatever the fuck you’re not supposed to do for the Queen.

I’m the same way. That case made me feel like a total asshole for taking Crystal Mangum - who we now know is utterly crazy, a liar, and a criminal of the worst order - at her word without waiting for evidence and due process. And now I’m skeptical of every story, even when math says I shouldn’t be.

Ensure access for those few, those happy few, that don’t have a facebook account? Or can you read it without a facebook account?

Because you can’t like to a Facebook post on a non-public page.

No idea about the journalistic aspects of this, but as a random reader, I appreciate it. I found the story interesting but probably would not have clicked through a link for it. And I’d rather see a short summary/intro before getting into the actual FB post. Obviously, these are just personal preferences but I like

Well, I learned from this post that kickers are held to the same academic standards as other college football players, so there’s that.

Apparently Germans are pretty excited by him too.

Agreed on the coverage. I don’t deserve shit though, haha.

You’re right, but our media has always sucked, glad you’re on the pulisic hype train until it derails!

same about the culture, and i love one direction

“Subbed into a Champions League game for Borussia Dortmund against Real Madrid down a goal; created the chance that led to the equalizer” is the single best resume line for an American player in Europe since at least “Dempsey leads Fulham to the Europa League final.” And that’s irrespective of the fact that he’s 18.

As an old man American soccer fan I bag on the “American soccer culture” all the time but this is a reason to be excited. American players at the highest levels of European soccer have, except for goalkeepers, been underwhelming as all hell. As another commenter said name one that that has main an impact on a

I get it, but isn’t this like the first guy on a respectable club that we’ve had who actually gets playing time and is doing something with it?

What American soccer culture? It’s cool to see an American player other than a goalie that’s halfway decent in Europe. I don’t even know enough about soccer to know if he is halfway decent, but I enjoy seeing people who presumably do know have hope.

He’s the first American to show this much promise and actually perform on the biggest stage. The truth is we haven’t been here before so you really shouldn’t expect us to act like we have. It’s exciting, enjoy it.

Thanks Buzz Killington...

That’s Deadspin click bait buddy. The worst hacks (Redfors) do a...watch X do unbelievable Y and destroy Z’s soul!

Look. She’s a great swimmer. The call of the question was if there was anything she couldn’t do? The answer was that she couldn’t give a man a bone bc she isn’t hot. Not the end of the world that she’s not hot. She seems like a good person and is crazy talented. But you can’t be good at everything.

I remember the birth of the MLS back in 1993. I was still in high school. It was exciting. American getting its own soccer league! And yet, here we are 23 years later and I still can’t watch it. It’s clunky, histrionic, and not very fun. I blame myself for my inability to watch. I spent my formative years watching
