Not only they tend to put out LESS power than stock air filters, they are also usually less effective at filtering out the bad stuff. you want your engine to last long? always use the stock filter and change it on the recommended intervals.

I still think that mini is loosing it's essence. An Audi A1 has better quality, better interior and has had a more efficient, powerful engine for quite some time (not counting the mini S).

Twice a year, do a clean-up where. if you find something that hasn't been used in the last 6 months, it goes out. This will be hard at first, but it will help at 1.- reducing clutter, and 2.-making you spend less (as you will only really start buying unless you absolutely need it)
