Watching “Long way up” right now, just finished second episode. After watching that, Rivian probably wishes they made their truck with a range extender.

They’re absolutely reliable...I’ve got a ‘15 and have only had to replace routine stuff...battery didn’t even go out until a couple months ago. Family members have 470's that have 200k plus on them and don’t miss a beat. If you can handle the side swinging door in the back and tech that’s not exactly current, you…
Late to the party here, but I believe for $15k, he can get one of the old cheater VW diesels with AWD and a two year bumper to bumper that are required on them.
I’d agree but disagree...the GX 460s seem to get you a little more for your money at that point and are just as reliable. Yes, a touch on the thirsty side with the V8, though.
The Transit Connect is sorta shaped like the Clone Wars trooper transport, too, complete with its own sliding doors.
I remember side impact airbags being mandated in the old focus for the european market. I thought IIHS commented on it while doing side impact testing.
Having litigated explorer tread separation/rollover crashes, there’s a world of difference between knowing you’re going to have a tread separation and controlling it- and going down the interstate and it suddenly occurring. Losing a tread at speed, particularly on the rear, can have catastrophic results.
Clown Shoe Mark II?
Kinda like how the big three, despite having global platform cars, had cars in Europe with standard equipment side impact protection, but here in ‘Merica, with the same car, side impact protection was an option or not offered at all?
Tread separations and high centers of gravity resulted in a lot of deaths in SUVs that had nothing to do with someone being reckless. Does personal responsibility stop at the individual or does it include a manufacturer who makes a product knowing it’ll cause problems? Ford and Firestone spent a lot of time trying to…
Especially when one of the questions is “are you a fugitive from justice?”
Big disconnect between GOP and lawsuits. Ask Rick Santorum, who was huge for “tort reform,” yet his wife was busy suing her chiropractor for malpractice or Trent Lott, who when Katrina wrecked his home, was one of the first to file suit against his insurance company.
I’ve asked a couple people on the few I’ve been interested in about the subframe...those who claim to be enthusiasts about the Z3 and simultaneously claim to not know anything about the subframe are ones I immediately flee from, right away.
America’s future: Wall-E and Idiocracy.
Seriously. $750? Not a lot of rust and so unique, once he gets it running, he can keep it or turn a hefty profit instantly.
Why does the Prius Prime need a spoiler? Did I miss the part in the article where its performance requires the downforce that a spoiler would create? If it needs the spoiler, maybe you’re not driving it hard enough and that’s why it’s judging you.
Let the hate flow through you.
It’s a WCSYB and Nice Price or Crack Pipe confluence day (yes, the wagon was actually an early 90's, but no one would ever know looking at a 240 wagon)!
I was dx COVID-19 positive a few weeks ago and it’s not been fun. A couple trips to the hospital and carting around oxygen like I’m some 85 year old COPD person. I stayed healthy during the initial phase (in Florida, even), but when the governor in his infinite wisdom started irresponsibly opening, I got sick.
I was thinking more along the lines of a Volvo, but if you’re going to go Unimog, you do you.
