Put everything on Underhill’s account.

How about a Ford Edge ST? I’ve not driven one, but the reviews seem to indicate it’ll scoot.
They are expensive. No doubt about it. But most full sized SUVs with luxury trim will top out at $80k or greater, and some (Escalade, Rover, Benz) will go well into the 100's beyond that, I’m starting to think they’re a deal in this segment. Particularly if you’re one of those types that buys and keeps forever.
I’ve seen them for lower. If I could pick up one for $5k, I’d buy it just for the ability to get good parking at the airport/municipal events/spare city car.
Hope you know your sidewall codes well enough to not just pick “looks OK/holds air” since tread separation at speed from old tires can lead to rollover and catastrophic injuries.
Yep...Colony Park wagons for those who thought the Country Squires were too much a wagon of the hoi polloi.
It’s a sign of the decline of America. I would like to think it’s a recognition that cars last longer and you can conserve environmental and financial resources, but it’s not because Americans since WW2 have been rampant consumers.
Get out of my brain.
Too bad you sold project redwood. You could’ve taken Free Jeep and Redwood and perhaps made something that was more iron than iron oxide.
CP. There’s a guy who imports these in St. Petersburg, FL who lists them all the time on Ebay and go for way less.
Why stop with the V6? How about it goes unibody, too?
The G37 was a favorite car of mine- so very quick. But if you’re hauling kids, the back seat’s a bit tight (assuming this guy’s kids are not toddlers and/or he’s not on the shorter side).
The Scout would be cool, but the rust on one less than $15k would be significant. As long as your “easy to work on” includes a welder for replacing rocker panels and floors, sure it’s easy to work on. Having kept my eyes peeled for a Scout 800 for a weekend toy, not even many Scout II’s fall into this price/quality…
Nader: Covair: unsafe at any speed.
Duck poop on that mirrored tile? Nothing could possibly go wrong there.
As a man who lives in Florida, I take offense at that remark.
Maybe something made at least in the 21st century that might not crumple into an accordion with you inside it?
“Also, “artist + yogi” = Living is southern Cali with a luxury SUV? I’m in the wrong line of work. Or I should have married someone who isn’t a teacher.”
There are crack pipes and there are crack whores. One’s bad, the other’s a whole world of nastiness that you shun your eyes from and ponder how things got to that point while fleeing from the sight of it. CW.
Rear legroom is good for adults (I was riding in the back seat of one today), but it seems that the orientation of a rear facing car seat would cause the front passenger to have to scoot up a fair amount.
