I live in Florida, too, and spent last weekend on the I-4 corridor and in Orlando. I don’t think Miami gets the monopoly on “hell” for the state. It might get the monopoly on the seventh level of hell, but not the whole park.

“Jalopnik writers Andrew Collins and David Tracy died a watery death today after attempting to turbo boost over the Golden Gate Bridge. They apparently thought, after five hours of continuous Knight Rider theme music, that they were in an indestructible car that also had a boat mode, to go along with magnificent…
What part of the Iron Curtain did you grow up behind? ;)
Roswell? Did get left there because Elvis had gone with the Aliens?
There’s SOMEONE who needs the mobility a car- even a beater- will provide (assuming they can afford taxes, license and insurance) and that’s better than walking/bus rides/etc.
Neither is a 5 liter mustang:
Municipalities make $ off of traffic fines. Simple fact. That’s why you see some municipalities try to write more tickets all the time (the US Highway 301 corridor between Jacksonville and Gainesville, FL is a prime example). They’ll fight that suit tooth and nail, especially because they can argue that driving is a…
Biggest market for the Flex is California. But it’s a proper choice for quirky, and the color combos it comes in with the roof being different colored to the body can make it unique.
I drive Bayshore Boulevard every day I go to work.
The Fiat isn’t known for its reliability, but for $10k on an Abarth with a CPO warranty which, after I looked it up, seems pretty decent (the listing seems to indicate it’s a $0 deductible warranty), it’d be a quirky, snorting little runabout with warranty for three years and 50k miles, which seems like a pretty good…
And, add to it that Hammacher Schlemmer adds a lifetime warranty to things bought from it, they’ll replace it for free or a credit. Buy it for a year, drive it, and return.
If I didn’t have a BGE already, I’d consider this, but in its defense, I would note that the BGE has a lifetime warranty, so if you crack any of the ceramics while cooking, they’ll replace it.

YOLO. Unfortunately.
This. This is an unfortunate reason behind many of the tread separation crashes-people (particularly, the second or third owner) will swap a spare onto the vehicle because it looks good by tread, not realizing that it is old- and in many SUV/truck tires, has been outside and exposed to heat from the exhaust system for…
But if you acknowledge in 2010 that the tires are risky at highway speeds and also acknowledge that there are still tires on the road at that point in time, but don’t do anything about it (ie RECALL) and people were hurt/property damaged after 2010, you’ve got bigger problems.
Tires on campers, which aren’t daily drivers (typically) won’t wear out as fast as a passenger car/light truck tire the way a person would notice- most people look at tread depth and say “it’s OK.”:The problem with this tire is that it is alleged to have been separating well before it got to the point of being low on…
I’d need my brown pants for that flight.
The cat’s out of the bag much too late for the numerous people hurt/killed AFTER Goodyear began recording failure data. But the tires are still on the road based on Goodyear’s own estimates (and given that many RV tires don’t get driven daily, many folks may think that they’re OK because there’s plenty of tread left)…
Cooper has had a lot of litigation against it, too, over the years, alleging tread separations on its products.
+1. Get one a lot for a rental car (usually with LTZ trim and the V6, but the LT is nice- wouldn’t get the 4 cyl, though), but the Impala is a lot of car for the money and very comfortable over commutes.
