Biggest market for the Flex is California. But it’s a proper choice for quirky, and the color combos it comes in with the roof being different colored to the body can make it unique.

I drive Bayshore Boulevard every day I go to work.
The Fiat isn’t known for its reliability, but for $10k on an Abarth with a CPO warranty which, after I looked it up, seems pretty decent (the listing seems to indicate it’s a $0 deductible warranty), it’d be a quirky, snorting little runabout with warranty for three years and 50k miles, which seems like a pretty good…
And, add to it that Hammacher Schlemmer adds a lifetime warranty to things bought from it, they’ll replace it for free or a credit. Buy it for a year, drive it, and return.
If I didn’t have a BGE already, I’d consider this, but in its defense, I would note that the BGE has a lifetime warranty, so if you crack any of the ceramics while cooking, they’ll replace it.

YOLO. Unfortunately.
This. This is an unfortunate reason behind many of the tread separation crashes-people (particularly, the second or third owner) will swap a spare onto the vehicle because it looks good by tread, not realizing that it is old- and in many SUV/truck tires, has been outside and exposed to heat from the exhaust system for…
But if you acknowledge in 2010 that the tires are risky at highway speeds and also acknowledge that there are still tires on the road at that point in time, but don’t do anything about it (ie RECALL) and people were hurt/property damaged after 2010, you’ve got bigger problems.
Tires on campers, which aren’t daily drivers (typically) won’t wear out as fast as a passenger car/light truck tire the way a person would notice- most people look at tread depth and say “it’s OK.”:The problem with this tire is that it is alleged to have been separating well before it got to the point of being low on…
The cat’s out of the bag much too late for the numerous people hurt/killed AFTER Goodyear began recording failure data. But the tires are still on the road based on Goodyear’s own estimates (and given that many RV tires don’t get driven daily, many folks may think that they’re OK because there’s plenty of tread left)…
Cooper has had a lot of litigation against it, too, over the years, alleging tread separations on its products.
+1. Get one a lot for a rental car (usually with LTZ trim and the V6, but the LT is nice- wouldn’t get the 4 cyl, though), but the Impala is a lot of car for the money and very comfortable over commutes.
Unfortunately, many of these RISCs and purchase contracts also have significant arbitration clauses in them, which prevents many of these disputes from reaching the courthouse for resolution, but rather use private arbitration forums. Dealer groups have been big to push not having arbitration with manufacturers and…
I loved the G37 I (my wife) had. At 20k, can get one CPO easily as the G or the Q40. Way better car than the car that replaced it. But yes, the fuel economy was a little rough.
Flex market is the highest in California, though. So I think they’re more common there than anywhere outside of a “Daddy’s Home” movie.
You’re right...a woman driver. oops.
Agree. The visibility from the volvo’s headlights seem terrible, too. But had the driver activated hi-beams (and been paying attention)...
Watching the video, I don’t think you want to use him as “sensing” much of anything, as he clearly wasn’t paying attention to squat.
The video now released shows that the person wasn’t stepping off the curb to the right, but that she was crossing two lanes from left to right and had made it across all of the left lane almost though the right when hit.
They say it would’ve been difficult for a human to avoid. Maybe so, but wouldn’t a human also have the potential (potential, not saying they would’ve done so) to observe things on the periphery that would give you a sense of something about to happen?
