I remember when it was coming out friends were lining up to pre-order one and it was a 6 month delay iirc. They were a huge hit. Now on the reliability and material aspect, they were awful.

Except for the R and STI hatchbacks. the car is actually very spacious, almost as large as my M45 on the inside. plus with all that power, I wouldn't touch the car with a 10 foot pole if it had FWD. I wrote off a 2013 GTI due to this and it had 200hp stock.

You're aiming the mirrors in too far. they should just barely overlap the rearview mirror edges so you get a full view and get rid of those blindspots.

Well, time to impatiently wait for a great deal on a slightly used MkVII R to show up and trade in the MkVI.

I love sports cars but hate two door and four seat configurations. Plus we don't all have the choice of having a sports car and a DD and this splits it down the middle and giving you mostly the best of both.

Bring over the Golf R Wagon

Let me tell you this about the Golf R: get it with a stick shift.

Mk VI Golf's have this as well. It seems to be a mixed bag of which cars get this and which don't

Wow, almost sub $1. I didn't think we'd ever get to that price ever again, even if it was with a discount. Ah the days when $5 filled up half a tank in my parents Sentra

Generally this is compared to classes. Take a Kia Forte for example. Navi, heated front and rear seats and cooled front seats, key-less entry and start, dual auto-climate control, back-up camera, heated steering wheel, auto-dimming mirror, leather, etc. Sure compared to the S class this is well below what you would

To me forward for + and down for - makes more sense in a road car. In a race car, yes it should be opposite but in a normal car we're not experiencing those kinds of forces.

Hope not but we've been hearing the death of the V8 for some time now yet you can find just about every manufacturer still uses V8's.

guy didn't have the balls to stand up to his wife and get a car he liked.

Not sure how it's irrelevant. That would like saying the GTI has no place since you have the Polo GTI as well and the R above the GTI. I'd rather get the Focus instead of the Fiesta since it's more spacious. I've seen lots of these on the roads lately, moreso the GTI but there isn't a lack of FoSTs out there

Ah, nevermind. Was thinking of the 2011 and earlier Mk6's. still a shame it didn't come from the factory.

You can't disabled ESP on the GTI, only the R. New R is supposed to come with this from the factory though

Would you be ok facing the other way?

speeding irks me the most out of any other ticket. We have anywhere from 45-65mph in Illinois and most people drive around 75-80 regardless of that limit. You can still get a ticket but going 75 when everyone else is going 75 is idiotic to me. You're putting yourself and far more people in danger when you drive say 55

So, you could own a Cube, and a Nismo GT-R and take them to get serviced at the same place.

that's ridiculous. though the 6k in wheels is a bit unnecessary, still 73k for a I4 5 series is absurd.
