Wow, and to think people are waiting in line for Hamilton tickets.

Did you ever watch Maude? Or the Family Guy spoof of watching Maude?

The only episode I remember well, and with some fondness was "The Murder Game"

The creative process. "Need a movie, something new, fresh exciting. I've got it! Spiderman!"

Both characters are very different in book and film. Bond novels were much darker than the movies, which became increasingly silly

Wow, did you ever ask your aunt about that?

Just like Batman!

IIRC one had giant ants

That's how we got The Night Manager and it was awful.

Did she have some sexy pun as a name?

Still waiting on that one.

Would also make the least exciting action figure ever.

Didn't they make a Prisoner TV movie or mini-series that no one watched? When I see these I have to wonder about the thinking behind them. Is it just an easy idea to use something that worked before, or some kind of supreme arrogance that they can do it better?

This well have got to be dry. Before the 60's TV show there were films based on the Saint, then the TV shows, then the movie. There's nothing left of it to use.

I can accept your definition.

The reason I call it a cheat is that it shows. Jaws was an exciting movie, but what about the next bunch? Jaws 2, Jaws 3D, Jaws 8 the resharkening - and eventually you get Sharknado. How much real thought went into those? they spin the big wheel of plots and think Hey, we've got a shark so lets just put it out

If all you read was that once sentence, you're right, but this has been a long conversation and only movies have been discussed.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I once read an article in a writer's magazine that talked about book covers. They found that if you made the standard "woman in a windswept gown in front of spooky mansion at night" book cover, you could increase sales by having one window lit up. That way potential readers

First he didn't make any movies I know of. Second, didn't he have a novel where they shot people to the moon with a cannon - would have pulverized them. Also did you ever READ Journey to the Center of the Earth? I mean it starts out telling you that such a journey would be impossible and then proves it. Should

You're the one who declared you were bailing. So don't accuse ME of not wanting a conversation.
