I understand you can find buff guys in LA?

Mmhmm, sure. On top of thoroughly demonstrating to everyone that you
don't know the difference between communism and fascism, don't know the racial theory underpinnings of fascist regimes that have actually existed, don't know the definition of race, want to use race anachronistically while whining that others are

Friend, I've already agreed you're the absolute coolest person on the Internet. I don't know why you're so upset.

It's just like when Marx & Engels released the Communist Manifesto in 1848, but the tsars still controlled Russia for 70 years after its publication. So how can you say there's a connection between Marx and the Soviet Union, libtard?!

We're holding the mirror up to ourselves. That's the whole idea.

Absolutely agree. You can't judge the past by present-day values. It's absurd.

Says the guy who doesn't know the difference between fascism and communism.

It's a movie made in the 21st century about ancient Greece, and therefore can be studied as to how 21st century ideas and categories shape our interpretation of the past.

"Tribe is race, just smaller; both are genotype."

"Hey dumbass, way to get paid for writing your opinion on the internet! I on the other hand am doing it for free, which I think we can all agree is much cooler."

Nope. There are plenty of other ways to manufacture difference: tribe, citizenship, language, religious affiliation.

Mmhmm, sure. On top of thoroughly demonstrating to everyone that you don't know the difference between communism and fascism, don't know the racial theory underpinnings of fascist regimes that have actually existed, don't know the definition of race, and want to use race anachronistically while whining that others are

Given that you are acting as if you think race means "recognizing otherness" to "use to your own advantage", it appears you do want race to mean simply any form of difference. Which is not what it means.

"(and a precursor to fascism still wouldn't be an example of _fascism_)"

Sorry, I don't make it a practice to read the minds of people four centuries ago. For starters, my Portuguese is terrible.

Or as in when you've added entire sentences to posts? Please. Now you're just outright lying… or do you need some screenshots to remind you?

Mmhmm. That's why you "regular" edit posts afterwards in a vain attempt to salvage your flailing. The most hysterical example being above where you whine about having your typos mocked but then go back and correct it anyway.

Well that's a pretty wide net, but conquistadores in the Americas, when they bothered to have an explanatory narrative at all (as opposed to just reveling in rapacious domination), saw themselves as religiously superior. So no, there is no evidence of a "racially superior" discourse.

"Shit, I used the word ethos without knowing its definition either! I meant to use the word ethics. Well, can't admit I was wrong about yet another word's meaning. I'd better just pretend those conversations with my hamster are rhetoric lessons."

So if a blonde valley girl from California makes fun of a brunette bayou girl from Louisiana, they're different races. Gotcha.
