Nice to know there was concept art for the biggest meme from TLJ, the sacred texts!

Counterpoint: I have not encountered a single intelligent positive argument about the Last Jedi.
White trash gonna be white trash.
You just pulled an #AllLivesMatter
This is a good comment. Unfortunately, since i09, like Deadspin, DeadGawker, Jezebel and Jalopunk are all written by and commented on by white people, your take will be disparaged and put down.
I mean, I didn’t see the movie but once. I just felt it was boring. Why should I be judged because I fell asleep during this movie and can’t recall some scenes? It was a boring film. No hate, no need to get angry or damn people to hell. I personally felt like I was watching The Hobbit part II-III.
This is such bullshit. The Aurora is caused by emanations from the inner earth. FACT
Calm down, bigot.
*this*
Look, all I’m saying is, can you imagine Mon Mothma, saying to Solo & team, “Go to Endor, sit there and wait for our orders. Don’t talk to the furry bears either.” Then turn to the Ackbar and say “Round up all fleet ships and fly to X spot in orbit around Endor, I’m not saying there’s something there but you might…
TLJ made TFA look even better in my mind, because there was a sense the story (in TFA), it was going somewhere. I mean, Luke didn’t know to go to Yoda until the first 20 minutes of ESB. We didn’t get any sense Star Wars would have a sequel from ANH—nor that luke’s use of the force was anything but a lucky shot.
What is lacking from the new movies is a vision. A familiar literary arc or as dumbshit kids who skipped english class say “trope.” It’s not lazy to have rules in your movies. Lucas based the OT and Prequels heavily upon Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey—it was great, because we could see Luke/Anakin at various points…
No. It was confirmed they wrapped the movie before she died.
Yeah nerds! How dare you like something and think it’s wrong that it went a different way! By the way, sweetheart, how impressed were you by Peter Jackson taking a 150 page book and making it into a Hobbit trilogy? Was that refreshing and new to you? I get the opinion you probably thought it was kick ass.
I went to be entertained, fully expecting to be rewatching the movie 5-10 more times like I did TFA/Rogue One. Haven’t seen it a second time, because The Last Jedi isn’t entertaining. It’s boring.
Nah
I didn’t say it was. Good lord.
Meh.
Rogue One’s soundtrack was exceptional, given he had 4 weeks to put it together and probably borrowed heavily from work set aside for other films, I think the music for the movie worked great. The track accompanying the heroes climb up the Scarif archive tower was powerful and thrilling and the track set to the heroic…
The best.
